The Malta Individual Investor Programme Agency (MIIPA) has announced that the original 1,800 quota is about to be reached and the last applications are being accepted.
What does it mean?
For Malta citizenship applicants who have already started the application:
MIIPA will continue accepting applications for Maltese citizenship until the 30th of September 2020.
For new applicants:
MIIPA will continue to accept residency applications until the 31st of July 2020.
May we expect a new Malta Citizenship by Investment Programme?
We do not think that this is the end of Malta's efforts to attract the world's investors to invest and do business in Malta. The Maltese government has confirmed, on several occasions, their commitment to extending the program upon expiry, although – in all likelihood – with amended terms and conditions. We expect that the government will maintain the strict standards of due diligence but also try to keep the programme competitive.
What are the main benefits of Malta citizenship and Malta passport?
